Run your Super Bowl squares online

Super Bowl LXI

Sunday, February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. It's the biggest squares game of the year: the one where people who don't watch football all season end up yelling at an extra point.

How Super Bowl squares work

A Square is 100 boxes on a 10x10. Everyone claims boxes before kickoff, one or ten. Once they're all claimed, each row and each column gets a random number from 0 to 9: rows for one team, columns for the other.

At the end of each quarter, take the last digit of each team's score. Say it's 17-10 at the half. The last digits are 7 and 0, so the box where the 7 meets the 0 wins the halftime payout. No football knowledge required. See how Squares work.

Set it up in five minutes

  1. Pick the game. Find the Super Bowl in the game list and start a Square on it.
  2. Set the price and payouts. Box price, how much each quarter pays, and when it closes. The defaults match how most hosts run Squares.
  3. Share one link. Text it, post it, or email it. Players open it on any phone or computer and claim their boxes.
  4. Let Random.org draw the numbers. When every box is claimed, or when you close it, the numbers land. Nobody picks them, not you and not us.
  5. Watch the game. Scores update live, we call a winner at the end of every quarter, and every box shows what it needs to win.

What the payouts look like

$10 a box on a full Square is a $1,000 pot. One common split pays each of the first three quarters 20% and the final 40%. The same box can win more than once.

Super Bowl example

$1,000
Winners
$1,000 (100%)
1st Quarter $200
Halftime $200
3rd Quarter $200
Final $400

Who holds the money

You do. Add your Venmo, PayPal, or Cash App once, and players get a pay button with the amount filled in when they claim a box. Settle Up keeps the list of who's paid, and when the game ends you pay winners in one tap. Sunday Squares never holds the money.

If not every box gets claimed

Close the Square yourself before kickoff and the numbers get drawn on what's claimed. Turn on the Open Box Bonus and when an empty box wins a quarter, that payout goes into a bonus pot drawn at random among box owners after the game.

Common questions

No app. The first time someone plays, they sign in with their name and email, or with Google. No password.

No. Random.org draws them once, and they stay the same all game.

Yes. Overtime points count toward the final score, so the final payout goes to the box that matches the score after overtime.

$4.99 for the host, whether 10 people play or 100. Players never pay Sunday Squares, and a new host's first Square is on us.

Yes. Make as many as you like, each with its own box price, so the $5 crowd and the $20 crowd each get their own.
